EXTRA-INSTITUTIONAL TRAINING

Up to twelve full months of specialized training may be spent by the particular individual at an institution other than the grantee institution for the purpose of specialized training in the investigator's field of interest. If the individual is invited by the host institution, such affiliation may be with an investigative group in this country or in a foreign country. It is expected that such an arrangement will be developed in concert with the individual's Departmental Chair and with permission for such additional training from the Dean of the grantee institution.

In the event that the individual spends time away from the grantee institution within the parameters described above, he/she shall (a) submit his/her work/instructional plan to his/her Department Chair and to the Foundation, and (b) submit a brief report to his/her Department Chair and to the Foundation upon his/her return (in addition to the other reports required as discussed above).
